voglio condividere con voi l’esperienza dell’eclissi solare del 12 agosto 2026. Era da tempo che non facevo astrofotografia. Lo spettacolo è partito alle 19.27 quando il cono d’ombra della luna cominciava ad allinearsi con il sole. Come location, visto che mi trovavo in vacanza, ho scelto l’osservatorio astronomico Copernico sui colli di Saludecio, ideale per assistere al fenomeno. Per la prima fase, ho cercato di isolarmi dal paesaggio, volevo riprendere il fenomeno a intervalli di scatto regolari ogni 30 secondi. Sulla fase di copertura parziale ho cercato una composizione più paesaggistica.

Hello everyone, I’d like to share my experience of the solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. It had been quite some time since I last did any astrophotography. The spectacle began at 7:27 PM, as the Moon’s shadow cone started to align with the Sun. Since I was on vacation, I chose the Copernicus Astronomical Observatory in the hills of Saludecio as my location—an ideal spot to witness the event. For the first phase, I focused on isolating the subject from the surrounding landscape, aiming to capture the phenomenon with shots taken at regular 30-second intervals.
For a few magical minutes, day gives way to night unhurriedly, and the sky reminds us that even the greatest light knows how to share the stage. In a few of the shots, you can even see some sunspots. Until the next eclipse!
